The Fine Print

The following outlines who qualifies for stipends and bonuses, and what's required to remain eligible

Eligibilty

  • Students in good standing, starting in 2026 and continuing until 2029, are eligible for the stipend program.

  • Tech Launch (formerly IT support training program) Alumni in good standing, starting with the 2022 cohorts, are eligible for the bonus program for milestones achieved from 2026-2029.

  • Alumni starting with Fall 2025 cohort are eligible for the 6-month post-graduation stipend.

  • All requests for bonuses, including supporting documentation, must be submitted within 1 month of milestone achievement to be eligible for bonus.

  • All surveys must be responded to within 1 month of release to be eligible for bonus.

What is Student ”Good Standing”?

  1. Actively participating in all aspects of the program, including job-hunting activities.

  2. All assignments completed timely and completely.

  3. All Coursera work completed.

  4. Following program expectations as outlined in the student handbook, with no active warnings.

  5. Timely responses to Teams and email messages.

What is Alumni ”Good Standing”?

  1. Between end of classes and graduation, attend at least 2 Job Trackers job hunting sessions a week. (Unless you’re in internship or already working.)

  2. After graduation, attend at least 2 Job Trackers job hunting sessions in person per month. (Unless you are already working.)

  3. Consistently apply to 10 jobs weekly.

  4. Update Job Application Tracker (JAT) daily (until you land your job.)

  5. Respond to surveys within 7 days. 

  6. Respond to all emails, texts and Teams messages within 72 hours.

  7. Communicate all career milestones within 1 month of achievement, including sending necessary supporting documentation to Tech Foundry.

Bonus Payment

  • Post-graduation stipends are available to those alumni in good standing who graduated starting with the Fall, 2025 cohort.

  • Bonuses will be paid via direct deposit within 1 month of request and/or survey completion. If you need assistance with a bank account, please email bonus@thetechfoundry.org.

  • All payments over $600 are taxable. W-9 forms will be issued to anyone receiving more than $600 in payments from Tech Foundry in a calendar year.

  • You must complete W-9 paperwork for tax reporting purposes.

  • Bonuses will be paid for milestones achieved between 2026-2029.
