Volunteer Your Expertise at Tech Foundry
Volunteer opportunities at Tech Foundry fall into three categories.
As a Volunteer Instructor, you share your technical expertise with Tech Foundry students. Whether you are available to teach a single session or multiple classes, there is a range of topics covering everything from programming to networking offered at Tech Foundry. By providing meaningful hands-on instruction, volunteer instructors help Tech Foundry students learn the technical skills relevant in today’s workplace.
As a Guest Speaker, you speak to our students about a topic relating to professional behavior, networking, or anything you believe to be important for someone entering the workforce. You do not need to have a technical background, but instead, share experiences from your field and background. In the past, guest speakers have talked to Tech Foundry students about entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and more.
As a Career Ambassador, you provide Tech Foundry students with guidance and advice as they start their careers. Career Ambassadors meet with Tech Foundry students three times during the program and spend time talking about what it is like beginning in the IT field, as well as answering student questions. Additionally, you provide your contact information for students to reach out to you for advice after the Tech Foundry program ends.
